LaPlant Family Time in Florida

We took a short deep sea fishing trip and caught around 10 fish.  We were only allowed to keep half of them as the rest were "out of season."  They were delicious!

My daughter was the first one to catch a fish.  it was a trigger fish...aka...sharp toothed dinosaur of the sea. 

As a lifelong fisher, I could not be outdone by my daughter and caught some of my own.

We rented a boat to play in the Choctawhatchee Bay.  As usual, the girls playing while I toil away. 

One of our favorite activities was searching the bay for shells and sand dollars.  No, the beached boat in the back was not ours. 

The one and only sand dollar found by my daughter.  It's amazing to me how excited we were to find this intact little guy.
